Bug Description

if you open the popup dialog "My Sunrise" on this site:
https://www.sunrise.ch/en/residential/welcome-page.html

you are not able to access the password field. Not by clicking and not with tab-key. on the given expample site you can check the box "Show password", the you can enter the password. But if you don't have this option, you can't login.

Another example is the Firefox addon "Windscribe". You have to login with popup dialog and it's not possible to enter the password.

This bug affects only the Linux version of firefox as I now.

It is the same for me!

Ubuntu 18.04
Firefox 63.0

But it works with Chromium 70.0.3538.77

My workaround: change the style of the page to "no style" on Firefox.... but it is just a workaround.....

I cannot observe the issue as I don't have a valid customer number to test with.

Can you try running firefox with the environment variable GTK_IM_MODULE unset, and let us know if that makes a difference (wondering whether that's related to bug #1803631) ? You can do that by closing firefox and then running the following command in a terminal:

    GTK_IM_MODULE= firefox

Changed in firefox (Ubuntu):

There's no differens using

Unfortunatley sunrise.ch changed the login PopUp-window and separated the password entry field to a separate step. On the attached screenshot you can see like it should be, after you entered a valid phone number. You can use following phone nr. (is not mine) just one that works: 076 447 12 12. You are not able to reach the password field. If you are fast enough you can click to "My Sunrise" and if the dialog appears for some milliseconds you can try to fill in the password character by character...

I suggest to install the Firefox AddOn "windscribe" (no need for an account). If you click to the password field, the PopUp-dialog disappears like described in the bug #1803631.

this bug dosn't affect ubuntu 18.10

Thanks Michael, I'm able to reliably reproduce the issue with the phone number you provided.
However if I run firefox with GTK_IM_MODULE unset, the password field works as expected, so I'm going to mark this bug as duplicate of bug #1803631.
