Bug Description

Upgrading a test system (as close as possible in build/config to my main).

I use 2 Java based applications - Freemind (a mind mapping tool) and jEdit (programmers editor).

Running either of these under 8.04 gives the following error:

Locking assertion failure. Backtrace:
#0 /usr/lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0 [0xb38e0767]
#1 /usr/lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0(xcb_xlib_unlock+0x31) [0xb38e08b1]
#2 /usr/lib/libX11.so.6(_XReply+0xfd) [0xacc0f2ed]
#3 /usr/lib/j2se/1.4/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so(XineramaQueryScreens+0xc5) [0xad095925]
java: xcb_xlib.c:82: xcb_xlib_unlock: Assertion `c->xlib.lock' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

Both applications ran with no issues under 7.10 before an upgrade was run.

this is a duplicate of #86103. A workaround is to set LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=true.
