Bug Description

After booting the image from DVD, the monitor is not usable, showing only green and white lines horizontally. The image was downloaded yesterday: https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/

I think the system is up and running, but screen resolution is wrong configurated for monitor type HP 27es (1920x1080 pixels, 60 Hz - there is no configuration option at the monitor setup to change this)

Hint:
It was ok with Ubuntu 16.04 mate 32-bit iso image.
I updated another PC and my netbook to 18.04 and would prefer using an unique version ...

According to http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/ problems booting the ISO image should be reported against syslinux. If you think this is incorrect then please reassign.
