Serials Quick Receive asks for subscription

Bug Description

In the web client (3.0.5) within the serials module, choosing Serials > Quick Receive prompts a dialog box. The pop-up asks to select a subscription to work on. The more thorough/option-filled receiving methods don't get this pop-up. To me this dialog box is disruptive and slows down what should be the quickest/simplest receive method.

Is this dialog box in Quick Receive necessary? It isn't to me. The only time I need to change the subscription is when I'm fiddling with predictions, and that's done elsewhere.

Ideally, selecting Quick Receive will bring oneself directly to the Receive Items dialog box with barcode/copy/etc - without having additional things pop up that need to be to clicked.

Thoughts? I may be missing the purpose of this seemingly unnecessary pop-up.

Holly,

The subscription picker seems necessary to me because the system would have no other way of knowing which subscription you want to use.

When performing the receive actions through the Manage Issues tab, you've already told Evergreen which subscription to work on, (drop-down in the top-left). Because Quick Receive is placed outside the Manage Subscriptions area of the record, there needs to be a way to determine which subscription to use.

I know most of our libraries only have one subscription, but that is not always the case. This can be especially true for libraries with multiple branches with subscriptions at each branch or systems that create subscriptions at a higher level.

I'm marking this won't fix because John is correct about needing a manner to determine which subscription is to be received against.

I'll open an alternate wishlist item for Quick Receive to default the active subscription if there's only one one the record.
