Bug Description
Inkscape 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11) on Fedora 28, in french
Steps to reproduce:
- create a text (flowed text or normal text, both are affected)
- fill it with a few lines, with last line not full
- place the cursor in the text, over the empty part of the last line
- press ArrowDown => Inkscape crashes
The same problem appears when selecting text with Maj+ArrowDown, when the cursor goes to the empty part of the last line.
A similar problem appears when clicking to place the cursor at the end of the text:
if the text ends, say, with 'm' (a character sufficiently wide):
- if you click on the left half of the 'm', you get the cursor on the left side of 'm'
- if you click on the right half of the 'm', you get the cursor on the right side of 'm'... with a crash.

I also have this problem on Fedora 29 with Inkscape: 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11)
I would add that moving the cursor down into the any other character position on the last line does not cause the crash; only moving down into the position after the last character on the last line.
This is similar to: https:/ /bugzilla. redhat. com/show_ bug.cgi? id=1575842 but take note of reply #21 by Euan De Kock: It appears they fixed the original problem but after that a user is now experiencing the same as reported here. Sadly they have closed that bug "Errata" yet the problem still exists on F29.
Big thanks to the team for a great piece of software, happy to dig in if you need any further info.
