Bug Description

Version 1.4.0 was released in 2014 (https://github.com/FreeRADIUS/pam_radius/releases). There were several changes then, but the important ones are the "force_prompt" and the "prompt=xxx" parameters which allow us to say "hardware token" for our use of radius in an MFA solution.

While the most recent release on github (and consequently on the freeradius site - https://freeradius.org/sub_projects/) is 1.4.0, the master branch indicates the version to be 1.4.1. I'm not terribly concerned with whether 1.4.0 or 1.4.1 is used, but it'd be nice to have the new options which aren't present in the 1.3.17 version which Ubuntu has shipped for the last decade. :)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Unfortunately libpam-radius-auth currently lacks a maintainer and is orphaned in Debian, so as a Wishlist item I think this package is unlikely to get feature updates unless someone volunteers.

As mentioned above, the package is still orphaned in Debian, though someone did a QA upload of 1.4.0-2.
