Webclient - Request Items screen shows invalid patron name

Evergreen web client 3.1.2
When I use the "Request Items" option in the Actions menu of the Holdings View tab of a record in the web client, the patron barcode defaults to mine, which is fine. The problem is that when I delete my barcode so that there's nothing in the barcode field, a patron's name is displayed as if her barcode were in the field.
This doesn't happen in the XUL client. In the XUL client, when the barcode field is empty, it says that it can't find the user.
I've attached a picture with an example from each client.

We're not seeing this in 3.0.2 - when I remove the barcode it doesn't show a patron name, and when I put in a new barcode, it populates the new patron name as expected.
