screen never locks

Bug Description

Using lockscreen keybord shortcut (Super+L) doesnt lock screen. The systm just freezes a few seconds. Putting the system to sleep (suspend), after settings are set to lock screen when screen is blank, also does not lock the screen.

gnome-screensaver-command --lock
does not work, but exits with 0 even if gnome-screensaver is running.

Running gnome-screensaver in debug mode led me to bug 864458.

I have only tested it in a live session, so it may not be disabled in a normal session.
