Bug Description

I run the liveCD on my pc with a ATI Xpress 200 graphic adapter

The livecd run correctly, but when I install to hard disc, after reboot for the first boot, the Display crash about 50 seconds them start gdm. The firts time I believe that the installation was bad but I wait one minute and I see that Ubuntu dont crash only usplash fails.

I open the file /etc/usplash.conf
and have:
-----------------------------------------------------

# Usplash configuration file
xres=1280
yres=1024

------------------------------------------------------

The problems is that my display support up to 1280x768 resolution.

I probe the installation with 2 pcs with the same ATI Xpress with diferent displays (One is a Laptop and the ohter is a Desktop with a 15" crt) In 2 PC the installer configures usplash bad.
