Bug Description

I’ve never really used orage; so I don’t really know what to expect. But here goes:

(I've marked my inline comments with (** **)... sorry about the mess.

(**I’ve found this part confusing:**)

"Navigate to File -> New or alternatively hit Ctrl+N keys
New appointment dialogue window opens Navigate to File
(**In the appointment dialogue (which has a file menu as well)?**) -> Exchange data
Exchange data dialogue window opens
Navigate to File (**in exchange data dialogue?**) -> Close or alternatively hit Ctrl+W keys
Orage window is hidden but Orage keeps running in the background
(**Indeed it was, I could only get it visible again by running it from menu or terminal again (is that how it's supposed to be?); which I need to do throughout the testcase**)
Navigate to File -> Quit or alternatively hit Ctrl+Q keys
Orage closes
“The number of months before old appointments are to be moved from the active calendar file to passive history file is set accordingly”
(**Is this a test? Don’t know where to check this**)

“The selected file will define which sound Orage uses when playing sound files”;
(**in this way there no point to this test here; shouldn't there be a test if orage really plays this file?**)

“Tick/Untick the options given
Orage's GUI definitions and visibility options for the main window change accordingly to the preferences set”
(** Perhaps they do, but the main orage window (the actual calender) has disappeared after . So I need to do menu/terminal again to check? And do we only mean the options under “calender visual details- there are more options *))

“Tick/Untick the options given
The selected day after Orage main calendar window is hidden and comes visible again, the use of a dynamic icon in the taskbar, the definition to start either the event list or the day view window when double clicking day numbers in the main calendar window and how many days to show in the event list when it starts, change accordingly to the preferences set”
(**I’m quite lost here.**)

“This test will check that Orage's View menu options work as expected
Navigate to View -> View selected date”
(**Here we are talking about the main window again, I believe?**)
“Navigate to View (**add: in main window?**) -> View selected date
A dialogue window opens showing the events list for the currently selected date
Navigate to View (**add: in main window?**)-> View selected week
A dialogue window opens showing the day window starting from current day
Navigate to View (**add: in main window?**)-> Select Today
Calendar's selected day (**in main window**) is set to be today
Navigate to View (**add: in main window?**)-> Show Globaltime
Orage Globaltime window opens
(**It did, but I didn’t see it at first, it had appeared top left, a very small window.**)

"Navigate to Help → in the main window.
About Orage dialogue window opens and not only the "Credits" button correctly display the associated information but also the "Close" button properly closes the dialogue window”
(**So, there are 2 more tests in this line?
Click “credit button”, credits are displayed
Click “close, the About-window is closed.**)

“This test will check that Orage allows you to add, edit and delete appointments
(**add: in main window?**)Navigate to File -> New or alternatively hit Ctrl+N keys”

“whether it's a all day event or not,” (**-->whether it's aN all day event or not,**)
“In addition, three kinds of alarms can be defined and also the recurrence of the appointment, using for that effect the "Alarm" and "Recurrence" tabs, respectively”
(**Are we implicitly asking for this to be done/tested by the tester?**)
“The calendar window marks every appointment not only bolding in its correspondent day but also in bottom in a small window showing active TODOs and EVENTs on the selected day”
(** In the calender window the datenumber with an appointment turns bold. Clicking on a bold datenumber opens a small window at the bottom of the calendar to show the appointments or todo’s of that date... or something like that?**)
“Click the "Yes" button
Dialogue window closes and the Selected date dialogue window doesn't displays the deleted appointment”
(**The Button is called “Yes, remove them”**).

“Selected date dialogue window doesn't display**//s//** the deleted appointment (**anymore?**)”

(**I discovered that if there is no item selected, the warning dialogue comes up as well, and you can still click “yes..” – but nothing happens. An orage issue I believe**)

“In the Import text box enter the name of the file or several files in a row by separating names with comma**/’s//** to copy into Orage and click the "Save" button"
(**These files are not set up anywhere in this test case.**)

“The file(s) are imported making the appointments part of Orage and can't be differentiated or put back into the file”
(**Not sure what’s meant by “can't be differentiated or put back into the file”**)

“In the Export text box enter the name of the file where Orage will write appointments or choose either all appointments or just a list of ids and click the "Save" button”
(**ids? and shouldn't we check if the file is created/written?**)

(**Also: testcase leaves a lot of windows open, not asking the tester to close them**)

ack to changing - also agree with comments and you're suggestions eg "testcase leaves a lot of windows open, not asking the tester to close them" - lets leave the user with a desktop in the state it was before they tested - close up everything ( killall orage in a term should do it - checking that they don't actually use it of course )
