Bug Description

EG3.1

Serials

I think we need an option to be able to set a subscription to "inactive" or hide it from the subscription drop down or the Subscription drop down selection should be sticky.

Example - Library adds a new subscription to a record that has an old subscription attached.

When they retrieve the bib record -> serials -> manage serials -> they have to choose the subscription from the drop down on each serials tab -> click manage predictions you must choose subscription from drop down -> click manage issues you must choose subscription from drop down again. It seems like the subscription sticks in some cases but if you go to manage subscriptions tab and back to manage issues the subscription is always cleared from the drop down.

If you are working with a record that only has one subscription for the library the subscription is automatically selected - this is ideal.

you cannot delete a subscription that has items attached but it would be great if we could set them "inactive" or hide them from the subscription drop down menu so only

This is still mostly the case. Checked our system (3-4-5) and also the Feedback Fest "Blake's Test Server" (2/12/2021).

If you retrieve the bib > Manage Subscriptions > Manage Predictions you have to choose a subscription. If you then Manage Issues, the subscription you chose for Manage Predictions does stick now. It apparently didn't used to stick.

However, if you go back to the Manage subscriptions tab for something (like to change the offset days) and then go back to either tab you do have to select the subscription again (as stated in this bug report).

Noting that the issue described in comment #1 is still an issue in version 3.9.

I agree that it would be good to be able to hide subscriptions no longer in use or to flag them as inactive.
