Starting Y PPA Manager, only the panel icon appears

Bug Description
No program window starts, only a panel icon. Right-clicked on the panel icon, the menu points are visible, but without any function, except clicking on "Quit" exits the program.
The bug appeared after upgrading Xubuntu from 16.04 Xenial to 18.04 Bionic.

If I edit the application launcher in the start menu to the same, with the extra "Run in terminal", it does not start the application.
The solution for me was, to start the application with the terminal launch:
sudo y-ppa-manager
Now it is fully functional!
