[Nvidia HDA] audio crackling

Hello,

on Ubuntu this bug regularly appearing: audio suddenly crackling for all softwares.
If I restart pulseaudio, it changes nothing.
But if I restart gnome-shell ("alt+F2", type "r"), the audio no more crackling.
I had this bug for Ubuntu 17.10 and perhaps 17.04 too.

That's odd. I would not have thought gnome-shell has anything to do with PulseAudio, until finding bug 1759497 :)

When you restart gnome-shell, does the start time on your pulseaudio process also change?

When you say "crackling for all softwares", do you mean shell events from apps like the system bell, or is music and video also crackling?
