Xubuntu 18.10 catfish window does not adhere to chosen theme

Testing Xubuntu 18.10. Catfish 1.4.4.

When using a Adwaita-dark theme, and elementary-xfce-dark Catfish does not seem to adhere to the theme. Please see here: https://i.imgur.com/s9OnrSQ.png. From the background to the foreground: thunderbird, firefox, catfish, engrampa. Catfish is lacking the white line and the gradient it seems.

This is due to the fact that catfish uses so-called client-side decorations whereas all the other applications in your screenshot use xfwm4's decoration. The two cannot simply "be the same". This takes effort and doesn't work 100% with random themes.

So: not a bug in catfish. I'm also not sure if or where or how it would be resolvable.

Hi, Simon, I'm quite new at reporting issues like this, so thanks for explaining why this occurs. I use Adwaita-dark-theme; in this dark theme with client-side decoration and the lacking white line on the border of the windows, it's sometimes difficult for me to find where to click to grab the window to move it. Can I turn client side decoration off?

Hi Willem, not a problem.
If you want to move windows you can actually click and drag anywhere on the decorations, even on buttons, to initiate window move with CSD.

And no, you can't disable CSD (unless you use some hacks, which usually have some downsides too).

Thanks; I tested the dragging and it works indeed. I think that will work.

It's a shame, though, that CSD seems to break the visual consistency of the theme.
