You may need to run the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package or updates.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"

Did that; in fact, when I boot the virtual machine, I get a whole slew of systemd errors: -udevd, -journald, -logind. I will send up all those reports (sorry for the excess reports; it must be one thing that is generating them all), but I'm guessing I have to reinstall.

I'm running under Virtual Box Version 5.2.8 r121009 (Qt5.6.2).

This (but not sure what "this" is except error reports) has been happening often; I typically ignore (cancel), but I thought I would look into it now.
