Bug Description
Binary package hint: foo2zjs
To achieve a good printing with Eye of Gnome, I must pre-select the printer in "Page Setup" dialog before printing the image. If I don't select it or let it at "Any Printer" and then print, I see the job in "Document print status" dialog but the printer don't receive any data.
I get the same problem with Evince.
My printer is a HP LaserJet 1020, so I use the driver foo2zjs.
I'm running Gusty Gibbon.

This has nothing to do with the printer driver, it is a big usability problem of Eye of GNOME and Evince. The driver provides info about all printer properties including paper and CUPS moves this info correctly on to the client. Most clients applications present this info correctly in one printing dialog, like OpenOffice.org and all KDE applications. It is a bad design of eog that you have to select the printer in "Printer Setup" and "Print" and that the paper size is only selectable in "Printer Setup" and not in print.
Moving to appropriate packages.
