no tray icon in ubuntu 18.04

the tray icon does not work in ubuntu 18.04 (in the floweres budgie and xubuntu it works). I think to show tray icons ubuntu uses libappindicator.

Those crazy Gnome devs removed "systray" altogether, no more little nice status icons in vanilla gnome :( This means TimeKpr shows the icon, but Gnome won't show it to You...

To get them back, You need to install "TopIcons" extension from Gnome Extensions page https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/495/topicons/ .

I have tried Gnome and KDE editions of Ubuntu 18.04. There is no tray icon in both. TopIcons don't work in Gnome 3.28

Please install gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1 and python-appindicator, let's see whether it solves Your problem.

I'll push an update soon to stable which automatically will install required packages, You' won't have to do anything.
