SETI@home: Notice from BOINC : CL file build failure

AMD Radeon R7 260X, when the boinc is running, the SETI@home reports errors such as "SETI@home: Notice from BOINC Task ap_13my18ac_B2_P1_00334_20180514_10124.wu_0 postponed for 180 seconds: CL file build failure".
the einstaine@home use the same card, but no any error reports.

don't know, maybe just tell me versions of boinc-app-seti, if you have it installed, your ubuntu version, your system architecture and so on.

dpkg -i should do the trick

I checked the installed packages. There isn't the boinc-app-seti, but only the boinc-client 7.9.3+dfsg-5u1,boinc-manager and libboinc7. My seti@home project software should download from the boinc server. So the error is from the boinc-client, not from the boinc-app-seti.

please, tell me why it should be a bug in the ubuntu boinc-app-seti if you are using the upstream version.
In case, just remove the upstream version and install the ubuntu bug, or report on upstream forum any issue you might find.

As your own system might have downloaded a version > 8 (8.20 at least is out) and the error is about a 'opencl' failure at execution, journalctl might help you grab more details.

It can be a version conflict (watch Berkeley doc (required dependencies) for that app) or simply a bad data downloaded (that happen sometimes)
