not able to install bionic beaver due to grub error ..

Looks like a corrupted support used. Lot of "Error retrieving chunk extents: Operation not supported" logged.

First check the iso's md5sum, then how that iso has been burnt (maybe too quickly).

Indeed, if you can use an usb stick for installation, its a better solution.
