error messages after removing a usb drive

I removed a WD Passport USB drive last night from my laptop and got the following from syslog1 this morning (after getting the error message):

Appears to be a failure of gvfs.

You seem to be right about this being a bug in gvfs; for a patch, see my comment at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar/+bug/1762595/comments/7.
