Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org2

While working on the attached document, I couldn't untag Bold nor Cursive after I selected them, by clicking on its icon, nor pressing CTRL-K or CTRL-N.

Using OpenOffice Writer 2.3.0, under Ubuntu Gutsy.

Where the cursor is (at the end of the document), Bold and Italic can be switched on, but not off.

Do you still have this problem with openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 in Ubuntu 8.04?

I can confirm that this problem exists in openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 in Xubuntu 8.04. I had this happen in a table, and the only way to remove the Bold and Italic was to delete the row from the table. Simply deleting the contents of the cell would not turn off the formatting.

I have tried to reproduce it under Intrepid but I haven't been able.
Could you try it?(also under Intrepid)
Anyways I'm marking it as confirmed due to previous comments.

I am unable to reproduce this under Intrepid. Will the fix be applied to Xubuntu 7.10 and 8.04?
