Bug Description

I really need for the 304 Driver to be supported in 18.04. This is the only driver that does not crash my system. I have tried 390 and 340 both have their problems.

Hello, I was experiencing something similar. I'd like to request some data from you; seems we might have duplicate bugs, so I'm trying to narrowing if they all are reporting the same failures, and I have a potential fix for it.

Please, try to rebuild the packages by running (as root):
"/usr/lib/dkms/dkms_autoinstaller start <your_kernel_version>"
For example: "/usr/lib/dkms/dkms_autoinstaller start 4.15.0-21-generic"

After that, collect the build log and attach it here. It's present usually at:
"/var/lib/dkms/nvidia-340/<your_nvidia_pkg_version>/build/make.log"

Thanks,

Guilherme
