We need to fix this as follows:

1. If the customer does not specify the kernel version, we should install the default kernel recommended for the release.
2. If the customer specifies the kernel version, the deployer code should install the kernel

This might mandate us to solve this also:

1. If the customer uses a new kernel, we should have a kernel compilation on the system (similar to DKMS in Ubuntu).

I agree with the first two points: default -> latest, can be overwritten by the user.
Compiling kernel module as part of the container creation is not going to be practical for a number of reasons.
