Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

deja-dup 37.1-2fakesync1
duplicity 0.7.17-0ubuntu1

This is a machine that backups to an SMB share. It has been running XUbuntu since a few years and was upgraded to each release using do-release-upgrade every 6 months.

DejaDup keeps starting its backup cycle anew. Today's backup after the release from 17.10 to 18.04 once again was created with the "Creating the first backup. This may take a while." disclaimer and once again it wanted me to enter the encryption password anew. This despite there being older backups on the SMB share, using the same password.

This *might* be a recently fixed passphrase issue.

Let me know if that helps at all.

I don't know what fixed it, but I kept the machine up-to-date and the current versions are:

deja-dup 38.0-1ubuntu0.1
duplicity 0.7.17-0ubuntu2

And with these versions, backups now work again as expected.
