Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The error that you are a reporting is a package conflict between a package from the official Ubuntu archive and a package from a PPA. To resolve this situation please uninstall the package from a PPA using the tool 'ppa-purge' which is provided by the ppa-purge package. Then try performing the package operations again. Thanks in advance!

This bug occurs when I add the PPA add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp repository and install the most current Gimp package. As a fix, I forcefully install gimp-plugin-registry_7.20140602ubuntu3_amd64.deb through this command below:

~$ sudo dpkg --force-all -i /var/cache/apt/archives/gimp-plugin-registry_7.20140602ubuntu3_amd64.deb

Then fix the dependencies:
~$ sudo apt install -fy
