I am unable to connect external LCD to my laptop via HDMI

This issue pop-up after I upgraded to 18.04 LTS. (It was working fine on 16.04)

In graphics section, I am seeing Gallium 0.4 but my graphics are Intel HD 520

Abdullah Ahmed, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

1) To clarify, could you please advise to the use of kernel boot parameter nomodeset?

2) If you remove the nomodeset parameter does this influence this issue?

3) As per the sticker of the monitor itself (not from the Bug Description, or the result of a terminal command), could you please provide the full manufacturer and model?

4) Are you using an adapter/dongle to connect the monitor or is it one HDMI cord connecting the laptop to the monitor?

5) When you do plug the monitor in, in the application Settings > Devices > Display does it recognize something is plugged in?
