Happened just during an upgrade from 16.04 to 18.04 BECAUSE I FAILED AN ANSWER TO ACCEPT A CHANGE OF A 'CONFIG FILE' -likish request and pressed Enter, that is, to default keep the old config instead of changing to the new version.

It was something like: "doc-base: This file has to be changed to a newer version ... ..., would you like to change to the new version or keep the old one?" with a default on keep. I read too quickly and chose keep with a compulsive ENTER hit. My Bad. Any one remembers the file name ?
