Bug Description

Hi,

I freshly installed an 18.04 machine yesterday. To workaround some installation issues I've used the Lubuntu alternate installer and then added xubuntu-desktop and budgie-desktop. LXDE and XFCE working fine, but budgie had lots of broken/missing icons in the menu bar and some applications (i.e. showing the forbidden sign which is used if an icon can't be found), and in the settings I could find xubuntu and lubuntu icons, but not budgie.

Looks as if there is some missing dependency to pull in the icons needed.

Budgie desktop is just the graphical part. There is no recommended icon theme. That is your choice.

With MenuLibre ou Alacarte you can easily define the missing icons or change existing ones.
