Bug Description

Ubuntu 18.04
gnome-shell 3.28.1

After login, the screen stays blank (not black but the default ubuntu purpleish color) with only the mouse cursor on. After force restarting, can sometimes log on the restart. When the login is completed, a message about a gnome-shell crash pops up in a bug reporter dialog box.
