Bug Description

At boot, the orange progression bar (bootsplash?) shows for a little while, and is then replaced by obscure text about file system checks and other things that scroll too quickly to be read.

Is it normal that it checks my filesystem at every boot? Should that stop the bar from showing?

I don't really know why it stops showing, so I don't know what logs to include...
