Bug Description

Binary package hint: vmware-server

I have installed vmware on feisty from commercial source, after I have removed vmware.
Some time after I have upgraded to gutsy, and when I try to rerun setup (from gutsy partner) I say that a previous version is installed.
I have remove the /etc/vmware and now I can install vmware ...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your answer.
I have a new computer, and I have do a clean setup of Ubuntu Hardy (and now I use VirtualBox =) )
But I have correct this issue by removing the vmware folder from /etc.
I think that the VmWare package in Feisty do not remove the directory, even I have do purge with apt-get.

It's not more an issue
