Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Dell Inspiron 8000, 1000Mhz P III, 512Mb memory, 120Gb disk with Ubuntu 7.10 and Firefox 2.0.0.11. freezes everytime I try to view a Youtube video.

Hello Alexander,

Thanks for your response.

A couple of weeks ago I found what I take it to be the solution to this
Ubuntu/Firefox/Youtube problem that I was having: download the Flash
Player direct from the Mozilla Firefox website.

I think the Flash Player was already installed, but am not sure. In any
event, after downloading and installing the Flash Player this seemed to
magically solve the complete Inspiron 8000 freeze problem.

I'm very impressed with Ubuntu 7.10 but I would like to find a simple
solution for the known ATI Mobility M4 screen resolution problems.

Thanks for the update ... please be sure that you remove that plugin
in case you ever run into any other firefox issue before filing a bug.
