Bug Description
The ability to highlight a net is a welcome addition to eeschema in V5. However, it would be even better if it highlighted connected pins as well as connected nets. This would make it much easier to see if a net actually connects to device pins.
Yes, you can look for the tiny square boxes to see if the pin is connected to a net. That /should/ help, but it's easy to overlook. Currently the best way to check is to drag the component away from its intended position and see whether the nets stay attached, but doing that with every device on a given net is more time consuming than highlighting the net and looking for highlighted pins.
This suggestion originated in the discussion of the related Bug #594073. Seth Hillbrand (@sethh) suggested it be submitted as a separate bug for inclusion in the V6 wishlist.

Hi,
Presently, when selecting a component or net, only that specific component or pin is then selected in PCBnew.
It would be great if, when using the highlight net tool, we could select a group of nets, and have them all highlighted in PCBnew. This would make it substantially easier to go back and forth between layout and schematic capture, as well as ensure that similar components are grouped together.
