Binary package hint: compizconfig-settings-manager

In animations effects the fire effect in some places is called 'fire' and in others places is called 'burn'.

Could you be more specific? (Either with screenshots, or by giving a few examples of where it's spelled burn vs fire.)

This is not a bug - the effect is called burn and the settings let you control the characteristics of the fire. For example, "Burn Particles" wouldn't make sense.
