Bionic final beta is out, and the official release will hopefully be soon.

Please note that vmbuilder is community only support.
On Ubuntu's side uvtool and if an install experience is required virt-inst is more recommended.

But the project is not dead - upstream moved to https://github.com/newroco/vmbuilder and Serge Hallyn volunteered to package it. See [1] for more details.

Due to that for now I'm subscribing Serge and unsubscribing the Server Team.
