Not working on bionic

I've added the ppa and installed ayatana-indicator-notifications but I'm not seeing the icon in the panel. I'm running Unity on Ubuntu 18.04.

The changes to mate-indicator-applet to use the new ayatana indicators didn't make it into 18.04, and unity-panel will need changes eventually to use them as well.

I have pushed a build of indicator-notifications to the ppa which works with mate in 18.04, and should work on unity as well, but I haven't tested it yet so let me know if there are any problems.

I have also deleted the ayatana-indicator-notifications build from the repo, to avoid any confusion, so you should probably remove it.

Sweet! Thanks Jason, that's super awesome. I removed ayatana-indicator-notifications, installed indicator-notifications, killed and re-launched the unity panel service and I have my recent notifications icon back!

Is this supposed to work with gnome-shell on bionic? I don't see the indicator.

Icon doesn't show up on Ubuntu 18.04 bionic. Any solution for that?
