web client: some columns in patron messages interface do not immediately populate

Bug Description
In the patron messages interface, there is a column picker option for 'Name' that displays no values when first retrieving the interface. The alert column also displays no values. Upon creating a new message, the values will display.
Oh, weird. The value for this column does not display when first retrieving the interface, but if I add a message, it does display. I see the same behavior with the Staff Alert field.
