Bug Description

After I log in to my session (3D effects activated) the two bars (up & down) appear grayed with nothing written in them for a good 5 minutes long, until suddenly everything comes back to normal. I would love to analyze the log file related to these bars (I don't know how you call them, what program is it ? what process ?) but I don't know which one it is. It worked fine until a few days ago. One my wife's session everything is fine but she does not have compiz running on hers. Thanks for your help.

Which version of Ubuntu are you running? Do you have the CompizConfig tool installed as well?

You mention that it worked fine until a few days ago, were there any configuration options that you enabled about that long ago? Any changes made at all?

I run Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 X86. If by CompizConfig you mean the
compizconfig-settings-manager package, yes it is installed and works
fine. I did not change any setting lately but some libdeco package have
been updated in the last days, maybe it is related... But no changes
from myself were made.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
