Bug Description

I updated Ubuntu artful yesterday to kernel 4.13.0-38-generic and restarting only this morning, it won't start. I had a black screen. I can start ubuntu with kernel 4.13.0-37-generic so I think it may be a kernel problem. I didn't see any errors messages.. Maybe someone faced the same thing..

I have a similar issue, except that with distinct machines I may have to go back to 4.13.0.-37 or -36. I also use Nvidia GPUs but distinct nvidia-drivers 390-30 and 390-48 without that making a real difference in behavior.

My impression is that something goes wrong in the power management before the system is fully booted and not really a kernel fault.

Hard to tell, when there is nothing really on the screen and hard resets the only way to get out of there...

Using a bunch of Gigabyte P35X v6 Notebooks with GTX 1070 GPUs.
