Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Open the Keyboard Shortcuts application from the System->Preferences menu.
2.) Choose some window-related action, such as "Close window".
3.) Change the shortcut to one that uses the escape key: Alt+Escape, Control+Escape, or Shift+Escape.
4.) Switch to another window and attempt to use the shortcut.
Observed result: a small focus shift occurs, but the desired action does not.
Expected result: the desired window action (such as "Close window").
Ubuntu version: Gutsy.
Metacity version: 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu3

Alt+Escape is probably already bound for you, and this binding will probably take precedence. Are Ctrl+Escape and Shift+Escape also bound?
