Bug Description

Here: https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/mysql.html you can read "For example, to configure MySQL to listen for connections from network hosts, change the bind-address directive to the server's IP address:
bind-address = 192.168.0.5

"

The issue is that if you follow that instruction literally you will not be able to restart the server. I solve the problem modifying the same variable in this file: /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf

I had the same issue noted above with the instructions. I support this recommended change.

Fixed to designate this config file. I also modified the associated directions for using netstat, to instead use ss.
