Not sure if this is exactly the same bug, but I get an easily reproduce-able crash when using the search bar(magnifying glass icon) under the "Processes" tab, by typing a '[' character into the textbox.

The issue is fixed in newer versions (GNOME 3.30/cosmic/distro) and in the snap (which is how the software is shipped in bionic by default)

The error is https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/19e723ae and has 292, probably not worth a SRU since it's a low number, the deb is not used by default and it's easy to workaround
