Bug Description
My Lenovo ideapad 700-15ISK repeatedly outputs the character '^@' about twice per second while in a tty. This interferes with the functionality of the keyboard (the "repeat keys" feature is quickly interrupted and stopped). Though the '^@' does not print in Unity, the effects are the same. I can login to Unity fine, but typing passwords is impossible in a tty.
Additionally, enabled Synaptics touchpad features simply don't work, including two-finger scrolling and tap to click.
This problem began after upgrading to the first 4.13 kernel. Reverting to kernel 4.11 fixes these issues, and so does installing the mainline kernel (v4.16-rc7).
