Bug Description
Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
I have installed Thunderbird on a Gutsy system and have then placed a Firefox shortcut and a Thunderbird shortcut on the desktop (using Applications -> Internet -> rightclick on Thunderbird -> Add Starter to Desktop). The shortcuts work nicely, but the TB icon is noticably bigger than the FF icon.
The .desktop files specify thunderbird.png and firefox.png, respectively, as icons. For each of these files names, there exists just one file on the system (/usr/share/
$ file -L /usr/share/
/usr/share/
$ file -L /usr/share/
/usr/share/
Not sure which one is the "correct" size; but I would appreciate if both icons would have the same size. Currently the first thing the user of this machine (which will not be me) will see are these two differently-sized icons, and it looks just wrong :-)
Here's a screenshot of the FF and TB desktop icons. I have put some other icons there for reference (the tiny icons for Evolution and Rhytmbox are yet different bugs, it seems).
