Bug Description

There is a new upstream version for whole Prelude modules (libprelude, libpreludedb, prelude-lml, prelude-lml-rules, prelude-manager, prelude-correlator and prewikka). It fixes a lot of bugs and has some improvments : https://www.prelude-siem.org/attachments/download/839/prelude-oss-4.1.0-release-note.txt

Actual version in Ubuntu : 3.1
Actual version in Debian : 4.1
Actual Upstream version : 4.1

Theses packages are already ok and included in Debian :
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/libprelude
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/libpreludedb
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/prelude-lml
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/prelude-lml-rules
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/prelude-manager
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/prelude-correlator
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/prewikka

It also needs the new version of python-lesscpy already ok in Debian : https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/python-lesscpy

Actual version in Ubuntu : 0.10
Actual version in Debian : 0.13
Actual Upstream version : 0.13

The 4.1 of Prelude has important fixes and because of the freeze, I think it is important to include it now.

Thanks

Regards

Hello, the diff looks scary, but mainly because of copyright updates and autoconf foo

Do you have a list of the new features, and a description of *why* you think they won't introduce regressions?

this is often what release team cares about :)

Hello

As I said, here is the release note : https://www.prelude-siem.org/attachments/download/839/prelude-oss-4.1.0-release-note.txt and https://www.prelude-siem.org/attachments/download/810/prelude-oss-4.0.0-release-note.txt (Actual version in Ubuntu is 3.1, released on september 2016, 4.1 has been released on december 2017.

Main updates :
- Update of gnulib
- Lot of fixes: crashes, bugs
- Update of dependencies and migration when dependency became unsupported
- Major updates on the Web Interface
- Python 3 support
- ...

No regressions, hard to say ... Is it fully included in debian testing and all builds are OK, it works on my computers, etc.

Regards

If this also needs a new version of python-lesscpy as prerequisite, someone needs to provide some analysis of whether that's appropriate on its own merits to include during feature freeze. (Probably so since prewikka is the only reverse-dependency in the archive, but it still needs looking at.)

I sync'd it

universe package, not seeded, small and self-contained set of reverse-dependencies, package already in Debian testing, no transition triggered by the library update. FFe approved.

@totol: please keep an eye on them and make sure they build and then migrate to release.
