Bug Description

We have just released 0.45.1 which fixes a grave Debian bug #892956. This bug is serious enough that Ubuntu should either distro patch the fix in their current version or transition to 0.45.1. The latter is a lot simpler, and contains only a few regression fixes compared to 0.45.0. We recommend that an FFe is granted so 0.45.1 can enter Bionic.

Thanks Jussi, a few comments

- you don't need a ffe for bugfix updates

- the new version has been synced from Debian but fails to build
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/361909061/buildlog_ubuntu-bionic-amd64.meson_0.45.1-1_BUILDING.txt.gz

- the ffe bugs need ubuntu-release subscribed or the people you are waiting the exception from don't see you request (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess)

Changed in meson (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → High
status: New → Fix Committed

You can use syncpackage -e to help file a Feature Freeze bug to sync a package from Debian.

syncpackage is part of the ubuntu-dev-tools package.
