can't select text from edge of screen in full screen mode

Bug Description
I'm using Gnome 3.28 on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and the terminator-1.90-2.3 package.
I use terminator in full screen mode.
Sometimes when I try to select text for copying from the very edge of the screen on the left, it has no effect, nothing is selected.
There seems to be a difference of like a pixel or two for this to happen.
