Clicking on the website button closes Ubuntu Software

Clicking on the website button on a particular app closes Ubuntu Software. I tried it on a few app (qBittorrent, Deluge, gThumb) all resulted in Ubuntu Software closes and the designated website not opening in my default browser (Firefox).

I can reproduce this bug in the Ubuntu on Wayland session but not the Ubuntu session. Therefore, I'm marking this a duplicate of LP: #1754169.
