Bug Description

Lost sound and started error tracking.
REsult: Sound disappears when my language is installed and added through system settings. This is something I can reconstruct.
Can anybody else confirm this, or is it only specific for my laptop?

History:
Using Kubuntu Gutsy (7.10) dual boot on HP Pavilion 6000.
Reinstalled and sound was ok at first but as I added a couple of things it disappeared. I was not sure exactly when it disappeared, so I reinstalled, logged my actions restarted and retested sound with every new change. The sound disappeared after I installed two new languages in the system settings.

I reinstalled, repeated the steps from the previous install, but did not install languages. I still have sound.
