Bug Description
The "Show and configure virtual connections" option of plasma-nm's Network Settings does not take effect for the plasmoid until after a restart of plasmashell.
The ability to up/down and configure "virtual" connections like Bridge, VLAN, etc. via GUI was removed in a previous release of KDE but will be re-added in Bionic (18.04) via plasma-
While that checkbox has the immediate effect of appearing in any newly spawned Connections dialog, it requires a restart of plasmashell (or logout/login or reboot) before the plasmoid itself will see the effect. I contend that it should immediately change the type of connections shown in the plasmoid and not require a restart.
This is still an issue in Disco with plasma-nm 5.16.4.
